I would like to purchase a large aquarium in the future (+125 gallons). I know that local fish stores sell large aquariums but the prices are quite high $1,500 - $3,000. Are there any cheaper options? I might luck out and find a large aquarium on Craigslist. I've used doctorfosterandsmith to purchase lights and heaters at reasonable prices in the past, but I don't think they sell accessories for very large aquariums. Any thoughts?

I've bought ALL of my large aquariums used. Either from CL, or from fishy friends. Watch the Hobbyist section of this forum, and the CAAS facebook page too. There's no need to pay full retail if you have time and can wait. A deal will come along. Always has for me.
Edited to add: You can also watch CL for large pieces of driftwood, lights, heaters, etc. for aquariums as well.
I've got a Glasscages; I wouldn't suggest their tanks. I had a 24" cube starphire rimless made, with black silicon. All 1/2" glass. It looked like crackheads built it. Globs of silicone everywhere, seams aren't straight. The black made it look worse. When I asked them about it, they told me to just clean it up myself with PVC cleaner. That included the globs of silicone in the middle of the panels. This wasn't one of their cheaper tanks, either. I paid extra for starphire, 1/2" glass and black silicone.
