Time to start making your plans for ACA 2009. This year it's in Cincinnati (not quite as close as Atlanta but not too far). We had a good showing at ACA 2008 and it would be great to have a lot of members at ACA 2009.
details from website:
"The Greater Cincinnati Aquarium Society (GCAS) is very proud and extremely excited to once again host the convention. The American Cichlid Association conventions over the last few years have undeniably set the bar high; but, GCAS has a great group of people who will be working tirelessly to make the 2009 ACA convention one of the most informative, educational, entertaining, and just plain fun conventions you?ve ever attended!
The 4 days of the convention will be packed with exciting guest speakers including Ad Konings, Spencer Jack, and Michi Tobler; and workshops on ?Catfish? hosted by Stephan Tanner and ?Photography? by Gary Lange.
We will have day trips to the Cincinnati Zoo and Newport Aquarium/Krohn Conservatory; or explore on your own to area fish stores, shopping malls (we now have IKEA here!), Kings Island amusement park, local restaurants, sightseeing downtown Cincinnati, or spend the day at CoCo Key indoor water park on the hotel grounds! "
I can't make it this year - but some CAAS folks make the trip!

We can't make it this year (had originally planned to, but the move from MN just about doubled in cost from our projections...). We're looking forward to Milwaukee (not too bad a trip, if done in conjunction with a visit to Jill's parents in MN)! Anyone who makes the trip needs to make sure they take some pics to share with the rest of us!
New fishroom assistant, Eva, arrived April 20, 2011...followed by Mallory on October 26, 2012!
I will be going. Leaving Thursday afternoon. Juan if you can get to Hickory you are more than welcome to go with me. I will take you up on the waterchanges for a year since I am up to about 160 tanks. Just kidding. I do not have room in my room as Ken will be staying with me, but I am sure we have floor space.
