I want to thank Mr. & Mrs. Fish Speaker for hosting us today for a FANTASTIC meeting! AWESOME fish room, and "auxiliary" fish room(s) throughout the house. For those that missed the meeting, I tried to take some pictures of just a small bit of what you missed:
Thank you for hosting us! as always it's fun to see your fish. And thanks for my new coffee table (the 110 tub) *grin* And for putting up with William:) He loved seeing everything that you've got! It's giving him the bug again!
Yes, I agree, it was another great visit to the S S F H. The largest South American and Central American Fish candy store in the Charlotte area. Fun was had by all. New members to the club this year not only were able to feast their eyes and have visions of what their fish room will look like, they also we able to purchase samplings of fish you probably will never see in a L F S. Most of all attending members were able to meet Mrs. Fish Speaker for the first time and extend their warm greetings, Some already knew what a lovely person she is. If you have ever had a conversation with fish speaker about different fish names, she is the one to have as your interpreter. All in all it was just a perfect way to spend a perfect September afternoon. To all who attended, thanks for making me smile. And a big thank you Mr/Mrs fish speakers for opening up your home to us.

Thanks everyone who attended this meeting! Sorry that I wasn't a little closer to being prepared (I was in the process of moving a tank when the first guests started arriving), and sorry I wasn't ready to move some bigger tanks...don't worry though, I'll send out word when I need some help with those!
Good to see lots of new faces, as well as some that are very familiar, and some that I haven't seen in a while! This gathering made me feel better about the future of the club!
Finally, thanks to those who purchased some of the tanks I've finally determined won't fit in the fishroom. I still have lots to get rid of, and would rather get them into the hands of enthusiastic fishkeepers!
New fishroom assistant, Eva, arrived April 20, 2011...followed by Mallory on October 26, 2012!

I also noticed some boxes of filters and such in the driveway and should have inquired about them. Were those things for sale as well?
And, if you ever need to clear some space in your breakfast nook, I'd be happy to buy that top tank of the double decker stand. Only caveat is that I must take the inhabitant as well! Seriously, I hope you'll find a female to breed them (ex-Cichlasoma istlanum) one day. I'll keep a tank in reserve just in case.
