I was afraid there would be problems with the Visitherm. Frankly, after this debacle with the stealth heaters and now hearing less than favorable comments about the visitherms, I think I"m with ahud - getting a refund and going with eheim.
If anyone in Charlotte is placing an order for new heaters please let me know. I'd like to grab an Eheim Jager. My single heater doesn't qualify for free shipping from Foster Smith, perhaps we can combine orders.
Great job Keith. If you are in the Hickory area we use the Deep Blue brand of submersible heaters. They have been reliable heaters and have replaced most of my customers defective Marineland heaters. My reguar prices are below. CAAS members get 20% off these prices.

Resurrecting an old thread... This heater issue all came up while I was spending less time on the boards and in the fishroom, so I didn't really look into it until now. Most of the garage tanks don't have heaters, since I heat the room...but I do have stealths in all the low-level tanks, discus tanks and the inside tanks. I guess I need to find out if the trade-in or refund deals are still available...and then get to work.
I have read (last night) that, at least for a while, Petsmart was taking in stealths and giving comparable replacements OR store credit...which would work fine for me. Any idea if that's still going on?
